Preparing for the 2022 Tax Season

The deadline for 2022 Tax Returns is April 18, 2023. The tax forms and schedules listed here are for the 2022 Tax Year tax returns and they can be e-filed via between early January 2023 and October 16, 2023. The 2022 eFile Tax Season starts in January 2023. Prepare and eFile your IRS and State 2022 Tax Return(s) OR EXTENSIONS by April 18, 2023. If you miss this deadline, you have until October 16, 2023, to e-file 2022 Taxes. If you miss the e-file deadline, you will need to prepare and mail complicated IRS and state tax forms

IRS TAX REFUND SCHEDULE DATES CHART ( IRS has not released the exact date it will begin accepting returns for the 2022 year). You can file but the tax return will be held until the IRS opens up filing.

If you claim Tax Credits for children or Earned Income Credits your return MAY be held up for an additional time as they verify Social Security Numbers to help prevent fraud or the dependent being claimed by someone else.

If you tax a Taxpayer PTIN remember to use it on the 1040 where indicated. If the PTIN is not present your return will be marked as fraudulent and not processed
